The Downtime feature allows for tracking machine downtime and - more importantly - categorizing it according to downtime reason with information from the operators actually running the machines. This can help with calculating and improving OEE, predictive maintenance, job costing, and more.

There are two major parts to the Downtime feature - setup, and the timeline. Access to those areas depends on two roles that must be set in the admin section of Prophecy:

Downtime Roles

  • Supervisors and admins can access the Downtime setup features, as well as the timeline. On the timeline screen, they can view and edit downtime data for all machines and all schedules.

  • Operators can only access the timeline and only see data for machines they are mapped to during times they are scheduled on those machines.
